MIDDLETOWN >>  Water’s Edge Center for Health & Rehabilitation recently held a “Meatball Sub Dine & Dash” to support the Middlesex Community College Foundation. Just over $500 was raised which will be used towards a scholarship for a Certified Nurse Aide student in the Allied Health Program.

Water’s Edge is a nursing facility in Middletown that employees over 100 CNAs and provides long-term care, short-term rehabilitation on its designated “Passport” wing, and a state-of-the-art Dementia/Alzheimer’s unit. Additionally, Water’s Edge has a partnership with the Middlesex Community College CNA Program where students have clinical training (under the supervision of a nursing instructor) at the facility.

Founded in 1966, Middlesex Community College is part of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities System. MxCC, recently named a “Great College to Work For” by The Chronicle of Higher Education, offers more than 50 degree or certificate programs at the main 38-acre campus in Middletown, the downtown Meriden Center and online.
