National Health Care Associates Releases Family Communication Plan
National Health Care Associates (NHCA), one of the nation’s leading providers of long-term care and rehabilitation, released a new family communication plan on Friday, May 1, 2020. This plan outlines NHCA’s commitment to providing continuous communication to residents and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic and establishes a firm foundation for ongoing communications.
NHCA’s WE CARE Family Communication Plan provides information on the tools and resources available for message dissemination. As part of this plan, NHCA is also launching the use of new technology that supports the distribution of customized communications from its Center to respond and report COVID-19 related messaging, in compliance with new requirements issued for nursing homes from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This tool will allow NHCA to communicate directly and regularly via text and email with residents and family members.
“This new plan and its accompanying technology provide a framework for simplifying and improving our communication process. Our patients and families trust that they have access to the most updated information on their loved ones, particularly in times like this. With visitations restricted due to COVID-19, we must do everything we can to provide added peace of mind and transparency in our communications along with continuing to provide exceptional, personalized care,” said Marvin Ostreicher, CEO.
